Hi Liinda and all other Listers also.
I have been seeing the name Houck on these lists and so decided to throw out
a little bit of information That I have here.
In my husbands family there were some Houcks. I think they came with the
family from Pa. Any way he was born in Pa. He married Sarah Amanda Bivens
and it says in Ia. They have several children. I do not have a birthdate
but some of the family might have. He died in 1891 in Nebraska.
Their childrens names were Billy, jack, Eva, Newt, and Samuel.
I have information running out my ears on the Bivens family but very little
or nothing on the Houks.
Hope this rings a bell for you. It maybe will give you a place to look for
other family members if nothing else.
The second Samuel married a Maude Hart in 1909 in Cherokee Iowa. I do have a
little more and may be able to dig up some more from some other Bivens who
have gone into the lines in Ne further than I have.
