New to the BERKS Co., list.......here is my dilemma......know my
GGgrandfather to be a Josiah ROBINSON / ROBERTSON 1854--1918.......according
to his death cert., he was born in Pa., the son of a ??? ROBERTSON, born in
Pottsville, Schuylkill Co., Pa., and an Elizabeth STOFFEL, born in
Pa.......while digging on the LDS sight i ran accross a Josiah ROBINSON
married 1-12-1851 to an Elizabeth OSWALD, at St. Johns Reformed Church in
Orwigsburg, Schuylkill Co., Pa.......found my Josiah b. 1854, in the
Schuylkill Haven, Schuylkill Co., 1870 census, age 16 living with a Charles
and Sarah EILER--OSWALD family.....also found in the LDS site, Charles OSWALD
to be the son of a Daniel and Anna (DE)LONG--OSWALD....further digging found
Charles to have a sister, Elizabeth OSWALD, b. 1822, daughter of the same
parents.......since i have my Josiah b. 1854 to be the son of Elizabeth
STOFFEL, wondering if anyone knows her to have also been an OSWALD, and
STOFFEL being another marriage??.......makes sense why Josiah would be living
with the Charles OSWALD family, if he was the nephew of Charles, making his
parents the Josiah ROBINSON and Elizabeth OSWALD married in
Orwigsburg.........The Daniel and Anna DELONG--OSWALD were from the Kutztown,
and Rockland Twp., areas of BERKS Co.......anyone out there searching the
OSWALD family from Berks Co., Pa. who might have any info on my
dilemma???......ANY help appreicated........Josiah b. 1854, married, lived
and died in the Johnstown, Cambria Co., Pa area......he married Mary HOLTZMAN
of Johnstown in 1882......thanks.......Joe
