I love looking up words. For yeoman I was fortunate (see below, second
definition, #2.); for perches, not (just about bird's feet and fish). The
Internet does not have intelligent reference materials. When I get to our
new
house later this week (we're moving —slowly), I will look it up in my 1926
Encyclopedia Britannica.
