All of these books [ there are four in the set ] actually preceed your
dates, but, in any case...no Achenbach's in the index of any of the
volumes.
You will find the following in "Pennsylvania German Pioneers" by
Stassburger & Hinke:
You didn't specifiy a given name
ACHEBACH [ACHABACH]
Johan Kraft ....
Mathaus.....
Philib....
ACHENBACH [AUCHENBAUGH, AGENBACH, HUBACH, HOEBACH]
Johannes....
John Rudolff...
Michael....
ACHENBACHER
Hans Jurg....
ACHENBACK
Crentien
OCHSENBECHER
Heinrich
Actually, given the realtive time of arrival [how do you know he came
in the 1800-1850 time frame?], I suspect that a search of the microfilm
records of immigration will be more fruitful, as opposed to the books
publishe on early immigration.
There was immigration into many different ports. Where do you suspect
that you ancestor arrived?
Using 1800-1850 is pretty broad. Where did you first lose track of your
immigrant? Are you pretty sure he was the immigrant or just the last
that you can find?
Sorry, I can't help more.

Lee Widner
