I found this among some family information sent to me. I need further clarification on this family to see where and if I connect.

Thomas HARTLEY, a Representative from Pennsylvania; orn in Reading, Pa, Sep 7, 1748; completed preparatory studies; studied law, was admitted to the bar and began practice in York, Pa; served in the Revolutionary war as lieutenant colonel of Irvine's regiment, and as colonel of the sixth Pa. in 1776; commanded an expidition against the Indians in 1778; served in the legislature (state); elected in the first second, third, fourth, fifth, and sixth Congresses and served from Mar 4, 1789 and until his death in York, Pa. Dec 21, 1800. -- [last 10 words in script--not typed]

I would certainly appreciate any information on Thomas HARTLEY either in Reading,( Berks Co.) or York (York Co), PA. I am especially interested in his family.
