Does anyone know of a reference either online or CD or film at LDS for
some of the original land grants from Wm Penn for Berks Co areas?
Specifically I am interested in the areas around Oley and Exeter, before
those townships came into existence. So we are talking about early
1700's and am particularly interested in RITTER/RUTTER and
KARST/KERST/KERSTEN/CARSTEN.

How would one find who in the Penn Society had some of the original
blocks of land and then parceled them out to various families? I have
two ancestors, George/Jerg RITTER and Johann Heinrich KERST/CARSTEN who
appear to have been in that area of Berks Co as early as 1710's. I had
found a Johann Henrich CARSTENS/KERSTENS in Germantown and Vicinity on
a list of emigrants in 1709. I assume he moved out to Oley Valley
Berks shortly after that time as Pendleton's book has him owning land as
early as 1714 in Oley area. Would records be in Philadelphia,
Harrisburg, or Berks Co for that period? I assume not in Berks since
the county was created later, but wondered if any of the Historical
Societies may have copies of some of these original settlers. Thanks to
anyone who can guide me to some evidence!
