looking for Johann STAUFFER:

In Berks Co 1767 tax list there are these names:
Colebrookdale:
John STOUFFER, farmer 50 acres
Abram STOUBER Sr, farmer, 200 acres
Abram STAUBER, Jr farmer 199 acres

Hereford:
Hanes STAUFER 169 acres

WILL ABSTRACTS:
Friends Henry STOUFFER and Michael BOWER named executors in will of
Peter ALLENBACH, Colebrookdale, dated 7/11/1777. Abram STOUFFER was a
witness.

Henry STAUFFER and Abraham BECHTEL were executors in the 5/24/1784 will
of John WERSHLER, Colebrookdale proved on 4/23/1790. Witnesses were
Christian STAUFFER and Jacob BECHTEL John WERSHLER names sons
Christian, John, Jacob and George and wife Barbara.

STAUFFER, Christian, Colebrookdale
Will dtd 4/8/1797; proved 5/30/1797
To wife Susanna all real and personal estate during life.
To son John the plantation on which he now lives in Colebrookdale,
containing about 100 acres, paying to executors 150 pounds.
After wife's decease to grandson John YERGER, only son of late dau Anna
deceased, paying appraised value.
Remainder as follows:
To son in law John LANDES 50 pounds.
To children of dau Esther 27 pounds.
Residue in 4 parts, one to the children of Esther, one to the children
of son John, one to John YERGER aforesaid, and one to the children of
dau Mary.
Execs: wife Susanna and son-in-law John LANDES.
Wits: Abraham MEYER and Peter RICHARDS.

STAUFFER, Abraham, Colebrookdale
will dated 8/4/1799 proved 3/11/1800.
Provides for wife Susanna.
To son Henry my plantation where I now live consisting of about 150
acres, except a part to son Jacob, at appraised value. To son Jacob a
part of this plantation at appraised value.
Estate divided among all children: John, Samuel, Margaret, wife of John
KINDIG; Jacob, Elisabeth wife of Jacob MEYER, Maria and Henry.
Execs: Sons John and Jacob STAUFFER
Wit: Jacob BAUMAN, Isaac BAUMAN and Peter RICHARDSON.

Any idea who John LANDES was who was mentioned in the will of 1797? I
am looking for a connection to Daniel LANDIS in Warwick Twp, Chester Co
who was born 10/27/1803- died in N Coventry in 1887. He was my
gr3grandfather and I can't seem to find where he dropped out of the sky!
His son Daniel W LANDIS married a granddaughter of Elias N MOHR and Mary
B. KERST of Union Twp.
