Ed, re: #9 [PABERKS] Friederich Hertlein ["Ed Mosheim" <]

Montgomery Co is always a good place to look when people are in the Pike Church area. It's not that far to New Hanover and Trappe and the Goshenhoppen churches. I have found a few of my own lines attended churches in that area of Montgomery Co!

My references are before 1800 , but I do find a few of your surname which may connect further back in Montgomery Co:

At Augustus Evangelical Lutheran Church, Trappe:

Marriages:
A widow HERTLEIN married Peter ZOLLER, widower, on 5/12/1756, Skippach
Susanna HARTLEIN, dau of Michael, married Mattheus KLUG, on 11/8/1761

Burials:
Eva Catharina HARTLEIN, dau of Michael, buried 2/8/1759, aged 21 years.

Marriages at Schwartzlwad Reformed:
Conrad HARTLEIN and Elisabetha MOSER, of Earl, Berks CO, on 3/4/1800.

1784 tax book for Berks Co does not show any of your surnames in Berks Co then. So maybe they were still in Montgomery Co.?

In WILL ABSTRACTS thru 1800:
Lorenz and George HARTLEIN are mentioned in will of Conrad BOHM, 12/6/1788, proved 5/18/1789: (no place of residence shown)
Conrad BOHM provides for his wife Eva Elisabeth.
Remainder divided among grandchildren in equal shares, to wit: George HARTLEIN's children, David SEISHOLTZ's children, Lorenz HARTLEIN's children and Baltzer BOHN's children.
Son Jacob received his share in land.
Exec: Adam HUDER
Wit: John Peter ENGEL, John KOCH and Jacob OSWALT.

Perhaps Frederick is in one of these lines?
