It is traditonal that this branch of the Fisher family had its orgin in
America in one Sebastian Fischer who in 1723 was a member of a party of
33 fanilies to come from the Schoharie Valley, NY and settle in
Tulpehockn and Heidelberg township. In 1759 these Fishers were taxables
of Heidelberg township, Jacob, Ulrich, Adam and Ludwig.

John Fisher, came to Berks county from Schuylikill couunty, he married
Elizabeth Leininger.
