Hi all this Mohrsville Book was sold on ebay. If someone here got it, could
you look up for the Tobias' and let me know what was printed for my family?
I'm told my great grandparents: George and Margaret Matilda (HETRICH) TOBIAS
lived there. I know my Great Uncle Arthur and his wife Florence lived there
with their children as well my parents lived in Mohrsville. My parents I know
lived at a Katie Burkey farm. Anyone know anything about that place or her?
Thanks, crystal
BOOK: Seller says: "You are bidding on the 2 volume set of MOHRSVILLE
Berks County, Pennsylvania 1836 - 1986 - " A Concise Pictorial and
Historical Discourse on the Village" by Milton K. and Luella E. Blatt.
These books have an insane number of black and white photographs
depicting everything imaginable that has to do with the village of
Mohrsville, PA. I've never seen
anything like it. Pictures of houses 'present' and 'old homesteads',
pictures of unusual mailboxes, pictures of families, LOTS of families,
the building of route 61 in the 40's, someone's
1943 war ration book, gossip and more gossip, clubs, businesses, views
of the town, and on and on. Please email me and I'll tell you more. I
can scan pictures for you and send them, also.
There are literally thousands. If it happened in Mohrsville - if someone
sneezed - it's in here. :)"
