Lebanon Co., Weber
The Weber family orginated in Saxony Germany, located at New Amsterdam
at the eary part of the 17th century. Henry Weber, son the immigrant,
came from New Amsterdan, to PA.

Philip Weber, son of Henry located in Bethel township, Lebanon County.
By his wife, Mary, he became the father of three children; Jacob, Philip
J., and David.

John Weber, son of Philip, was born in Lebanon County, June, 1800. He
married Anna Sherk of Bethel. Children; Mary Ann, who married John
Clark, Samuel, Elizabeth, the wife of Abraham Stauffer, Levi, Sarah, the
wife of Daniel Bordner, Jerome and John. Members of the Reformed Church.

Samuel, son of Jacob and Ann, was married about 1854 to Sarah Preisler,
of Landisburg, d/o Daniel and Elizabeth (Smith) Preisler. Children; Mary
B., George P., in Dallas, Texas, Laura J., of Fredericksburg, John of El
Paso, Texas, Anna Elizabeth of Frederickburg, Charles Henry, of Poplar
Bluff, MO, and Edward B., of El Paso.

Witmoyer, John H., subject, of North Lebanon township. Mr. Witmoyer was
born Nov 8, 1847, in Swatara township a son of Samuel and Elizabeth
(Bross) Witmoyer, the former was the son of Peter Witmoyer. Samuel
Witmoyer died at aged 74 and his wife at age 78. The father belonged to
the Reformed Church and the mother to the Lutheran Church. Their burial
was Kimmerling's burying-ground in N. Lebanon township. Children; John
H., Nathaniel, David.

John H., was reared in Swatara township. On Feb 17, 1873 he married
Elizabeth Light, born Nov 11, 1834 in Swatara, d/o Jacob and Elizabeth
(Urich) Light. A son John was born to this union on June 29, 1874, whose
marriage to Elizabeth Wenger has bought a little granddaughter Annie.
Mr. Witmoyer belongs to St. Mark's Reformed Church in Lebanon, while his
wife is a member of the Lutheran Church.
