Subject: [PABERKS] the origin of an expression
Date: Thu, 01 Jan 2004 15:15:56 -0600
Hot on the heels of my memories of sauerkraut on NY day comes one of my
Father telling me "you're Dutch" when he playfully wanted to tell me I
was crazy/nuts. I am assuming that this was probably part of his
family's vocabulary and that it has its roots in comparing someone to a
PA Dutchman. But does anyone know if this is so?
Yours,
Jeffrey
