I have noticed from time to time the mentioning of HEX signs, and thought
I would add a few notes.

First of all one will not find many if any in the Lancaster County, PA
area.

As one travels in Berks County, PA , one will see such signs.

Perhaps little known, is the fact the "Plain Dutch" people did not have
such signs painted on their barns. The plain people were the Amish and
the Mennonites.

On the other hand , another word (of yesteryear) the "Fancy Dutch", did
have Hex Sign,s painted on their barns.
