Hi listers,
Would someone have time to answer a question for me? I have been on
the list for a few weeks and have been busy working with cross referencing a
relatives information with my own and I am preparing I think to go into the
Berks Co. Historical Society's Library on Centre Ave when the weather is
better.
QUESTION: This is not my e-mail below but I read what the volunteers send
to people to get my bearings on what I can ask and what other people ask for
help with. See Below it says Camilo's age, birthplace, race, etc, then you
get to occupation and the volunteer wrote View image. What image are they
talking about? Further down it says image source with the census year, the
roll, the page, enumeration district, and image number. Where are these
images? Are they available at Berks County Historical Society's library?
Would you telephone them and ask before you went there to view the image?
Would they tell you that over the phone? Or do I have to go to my local
Latter-day Saints family history center and order the image and wait? One
more question, when it says roll I guess that means microfiche. Am I
correct? Then you pay to get copies made of the originals if you want them?
Is that it? Can you get a hard copy of what's on microfiche?
