Diane,

It appears that the person who responded to this query, cut and pasted the
name index image for this Camilo from ancestry.com in order to give the
citation for future lookup. They then listed key information about the
people in the household. The "view image" is a link to the census image
itself at www.ancestry.com.

I'm not familiar with the resources available at Berks County Historical
Society. It appears they have census through 1920 but can't tell in what
format. See this link http://www.berksweb.com/histsoc/library/. You should
also be able to order census films at your local Family History Center.
Depending upon where you live, your state library may permit access to one
or more genealogical database subscriptions using your library card number
and pin as a log-in. I don't live in Pa. but understand library users can
access census and other genealogical records through the Pennsylvania Power
Library (please correct me if this is no longer true). I can access similar
databases and census records at Heritagequest by paying an annual fee to
Godfrey Memorial Library in Connecticut.

As for what you can request, I do know that within reason and with enough
detail on the individuals (names, approximate ages, timeframe, locations
where they lived), you can ask for lookups in census records on these lists.
Most people who do lookups will respond with the citation and a verbatim
transcription of the entry if they find it. However, it helps if you
download the census extraction form from ancestry or from one of the other
sites such as Cyndi's list so that you have the headings in front of you and
can follow the transcription. See links:

Hope this helps answer your questions.
