Warrant issued before Robert Levers, Esq., one justice of the county, 4
Aug 1780. On July 5, in Macungie township, "the moon shinning very
bright" Daniel Hughes committed or attempted to commit the detestable
and abominable sin of "Buggery" and sodemy with a black calf with a
white tail. Adam "Reisch" was deputized and given authority to gather
helper and arrest Hughes. Hughes was to be brought to court to answer
the charge.

August, widow Edith, WA-1550 and WC-10335 filed Aug 22 1926 in Texas,
also see claim XC-2659125, he srv in 1883-9 in Co E of 2nd US Inf and in
1889-92 as 1st Sgt in Co. G. 2nd US Inf and 1893-94 in Genl Srve of US
Army and he died 14 April 1900 in San Antonion, Texas

Lancaster Co. History
Henry Resh came from Germany to PA in 1748, first settled east of
Lancaster, after his death in 1754, his property passed to his wife
Frena Resh and her son John. Henry was the father of 5 children, John,
born in Europe March 2, 1737, Elizabeth, born in Europe Aug 2, 1739,
Christian, born in Europe Sept 3, 1743, Barbara born in PA, Jan 13,
1751, Magdalena, born in PA March 19, 1753. The daughters all married,
Elizabeth to a Stoner, Barbara to a Miller. The daughter of Mrs.
Elizabeth Stoner married Bressler; and her son, while yet a young man
was killed by his horse running away down the little slope just west of
Henry Ressler's mill, on the Old Phila. road, which is now Bird-in-Hand.
Magdalen married Jacob Denlinger.

John Resh, the eldest son of Henry, married Elisabeth Stoner. Children,
Barabara, Froica, Joseph, Henry, Susanna, Christian. John married 2d to
Magdalena Eshleman and had children, Jacob, died in infancy, Jacob2,
Elizabeth, Mary and Magdalena

John Resh born April 25, 1768 married Barbara Ebym and they had one son,
David, born Feb 22, 1802, who died unmarried. A daughter Lydia, born
1803 married John Ebenshade and after his death married Henry Denlinger.
Another daughter, Elizabeth never married, and died 1875. A 3rd daughter
Barbara, married Adam Ranck. A 4th daughter, Mary married Henry Eby

Joseph Resh, born Jan 20 1771, married Esther Sensenig. Children,
Joseph, Daniel, Jacb, Moses, Peter, John, Samuel, Benjamin, Elizabeth,
Susanna, Fanny, Esther and Mary

Henry Resh born in Leacock June 7 1773, married Magdalena Buckwalter
born 1784. Children, Daniel, Anna married John Bossler, and after his
death married Jonathan Weaver, Mary married Samuel Sensenig, Elizabeth
married Peter Herr, Martha married David Bair, Fannie married John
Buckwalter, and Henry B.

Henry B. born in Upper Leacock twp., on Jan 22, 1820. He married Mary
Buckwalter, d/o John and Judith. After her death Henry B. married March
21 1855 to Susanna Sheaffer, who was born in Londonderry, Ireland.
Children, Mary E., married Dr. John K. Shirk, John, died in infancy,
Anna M., born 1858 married Frank L. Minnich.

Rev. War
Mitman, Charles, wf. Barbara, W3335, PA Line, soldier enlisted in York
Co. Soldier rec'd PA State pension 1827 aged 73. Soldier married Barbara
Baker 15 April 1792 and soldier died 29 Oct 1829. Soldier raised a large
family, no names given.

Wills-Bucks Co
Conrad Mitman Sr., Bedminster, Proved Dec 14, 1795. Wife, Barbara, son,
Conrad and son-in-law Henry Berned exrs. Dau. Elizabeth w/o Henry
Berned.
