Hello, Dale.
I have the "Collected Church Records....." of which you speak. Brecher and Briker are the only two surnames in the books and none of them are Mathias. These books contain records for the
Altalaha, St. Paul's (Smoke), St. Michael's; Moselem, St. John's (Hain's), And Zion Churches.

Subject: [PABERKS] Atolhoe/Altalaha and Host/Hain's Reformed Church?

I have a few questions that I hope someone can answer.

I've found a reference to a Mathias Bricker being of Rehrersburg,
Tulpehocken Township and the word "Atolhoe". As I understand it,
Atolhoe may refer to northern Tulpehocken Township. Is this correct?
Is Rehrersburg in northern Tulpehocken Township?

I believe that the Mathias Bricker I am trying to get more
information about may have been one of the Germans who settled in
Tulpehocken after leaving Schoharie, New York sometime on or after
the 1720s. I'm trying to connect him to a John Phillip Brucker, who
married Maria Catharine Jager in 1753 at St. Johns (Host/Hain's?)
Church. Is this church in Rehrersburg? In "Atolhoe"? (I understand
that there is an Atolhoe/Altalaha Lutheran Church in the area as
well). How far back do the available written records for the
Reformed church extend? I've read that they appear in a book
entitled "Collected Church Records of Berks County, Pennsylvania."
Does anyone have access to this book and, if so, may I ask if it
mentions a Mathias Bricker or Bruecker or Brucker? And is there a
cemetery associated with this church and do burial records exist for
it?

Thanks for any help at all with these questions.

Dale Bricker
