To Berks and Schuylkil researchers.
I would be most grateful any info on the following. Who were the
parents and siblings of a Jodeph Werner (later Warner and possibly
eatlirt Woerner) born 1770 in Berks (later Schuylkil Co) . He
presumably married a Hannah surname unknown but wanted along with any
dates and her parentage and siblings. They had a son Abraham born 1794
in Berks Co who married an Elizabeth Leimeister in Berks Co. Who were
her parents? Her father may have been a Philip? Elizabeth was born in
Braunsweigg Twp (now Brunswick Twp) Shortly after abt 1820 both Joseph
and Abraham and their families moved to Jefferson Twp,. Montgomery Co OH
where they were affiliated with the Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church in
Ellerton, Jefferson Twp. The Werner surname was altered prob. In Oh ro
Warner. The families must have been of German origin since the church
services at that time were conducted in German. All the Werners from
Abraham on died and were buried in the Ellerton Cem. Joseph and Hannah
most likely did too however the very early cemetery records were lost in
a fire. Any help on this would be deeply appreciated. In Berks Co PA
they may have been related to the Martin Werner line.
