This past June I visited my hometown of Altoona. While there, I made 3
trips to the BCGS. I was very impressed by the amount of information
that was available and by all the help I recieved while there.
I made a speical trip out on a Wednesday evening just to meet Annie
Whiteman. I not only had help from her on finding an obituary but she
gave me the grand tour of the library. She is a very delightful person
full of energy and friendship. By the time I was ready to leave that
evening, I felt as if I had known her for years. Thank you Annie. I
have made another friend!
If anyone has an oppportunity to visit the BCGS, please do so. You will
not be disappointed.
Thank you again to all the volunteers for your help when I visited.
