Hollidaysburg, to Miss SARAH O. WEBSTER, of Gaysport.

On the 23d instant, by Rev. H. C. Dosh, Mr. THOMAS LEWIS, of this county, to
Miss HARRIET WRIGHT, of Bloomsburg, Columbia county.

On the 19th inst., by the same, Mr. JOHN CASHMAN, of North Woodberry
township, to Miss CHRISTIANA LINGENFELTER.

Died.
At Jamestown, Howard county, Iowa, on the 16th inst., after a protracted
illness, JAMES KERR, son of Bernard Kerr, formerly of this place.

In Hollidaysburg, on the 17th instant, by the Rev. D. X. Junkin, D. D.,
ARCHIBALD McFADDEN, Esq., to Miss BARBARA A. LOWERY, all of Hollidaysburg.

In Harrisburg, on the 4th instant, JOSEPH KEMP, Esq., of Hollidaysburg, to
Miss AGNES SANDERS, of this former place.

On the 20th ult., at the Lutheran Parsonage, by Rev. J. Steck, Mr. HENRY
LANTZ to Miss CATHARINE SENDELMYER, both of Altoona.

on the 20th ult., by the Rev. J. Hassler, Mr. JAMES P. SCOTT, of Huntingdon
county, to Miss MARTHA ANN HYLE, from near Martinsburg, Blair county.

On the 25th ult. by the Rev. Lloyd Knight, Mr. DAVID TYLER of Logans Valley,
to Miss AGNES HARWELL, of Hollidaysburg.

Died
In this Borough, on Friday last, ELLEN, daughter of Cornelius McLaughlin,
aged about 5 months.

On the 24th ult, in Altoona, Mrs. ELIZABETH DAVIS, mother of John Davis, aged
77 years, 8 months and 9 days.
Our beloved friend, whose death we record above, has been a member of the
United Brethren Church, for about twenty-five years. She has exerted a
healthful Christian influence during her warfare. We are informed that for a
number of years past she has been waiting for the period when death would end
her travel from this body of sin and death. Death to her had no sting, no
dread.

On the 30th inst., of Typhoid Fever, MICHAEL AULTZ, of Hollidaysburg, aged
about 60 years.

In Logan township, on the 30th instant, Mrs. MARY WILLIAMS, widow of Thomas
Williams, Esq., deceased. aged about 70 years.

Miss MARY A. ALLISON, daughter of Mr. John Allison, all of this place.

Works, Blair co., to Miss SUSAN D. BUTTS, of Water Street, Huntingdon County.

In Harrisburg, on Tuesday, 8th instant, by the Rev. Chas. Hay, Mr. SAMUEL
KIPPLE, of Altoona, to Miss SUSAN WESTLEY, of Collinsville, this county.

In this Borough, on Tuesday morning last, of Scarlet Fever, JOSHUA HAINES,
oldest son of Charles C. and Phoebe Anna Shannon, aged 3 years, 4 months and
22 days.

On Thursday, the 21 ult., by Rev. A. B. Clark, Mr. JOSEPH JOHNSON to Miss
POLLY ANN McCURDY, both of Huntingdon County, Pa.

On the 22 ult, by the Rev. John H. C. Dosh, Mr. GEO. W. CUNNINGHAM, of
Altoona, to Miss ANNA E. IRELAND, of Hollidaysburg.

On the 22d ult., by the Rev. A. H. Taylor, Mr. WILLIAM GARRET to Miss LIZZIE
TOMPKINS, both of Hollidaysburg.

Died the 22d ult., at her residence in Northumberland, Mrs. E. P. WATERS,
aged 35 years and 4 months. The dec'd left our place on the Friday before her
death, for home; and on Saturday evening, while sitting at the supper table,
she took a cramp, and on Tuesday morning at 5 o'clock, she breather her last.

At his residence, in Logan Township, in this county, on the evening of the
16th ult., Mr. RICHARD GLASGOW, in the 80th year of his age. He was among the
early settlers of the 'Logan" Valley, as was at the time of his death one of
the oldest men in the community. His life and death was a complete
exemplification of that passage of Holy Writ, which says--"The days of our
years are three-score years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be
four score years, yet is their strength, labour and sorrow; for it is soon
cut off, and we fly away."

On the 1st ultime, at his residence in Tyrone City, Mr. JACOB STRAITHOOF,
aged 68 years.

In this borough, on Sunday evening last, by Jacob M. Cherry, Esq., Mr. JAMES
TREES to Miss JOSEPHINE BURNS, both of Altoona.

On the 22d ult, at the residence of Mr. Alex McCahan, in Juniata county, by
Rev. J. W. Langley, Rev. SAMUEL W. SEARS, of the East Baltimore Conference,
to Miss ELIZABETH R. McCAHAN, daughter of John McCahan, formerly of Juniata
County.

On Sunday, Feb. 27, 1859, at the Lutheran Parsonage in Newry, by the Rev.
Josp. Fitchtner, Mr. LEWIS STYLING, of Stonerstown, Bedford Co., to Miss
CATHARINE MASH, of Hollidaysburg.

In Altoona, March 5th, 1859, by the Rev. B. H. Fish, Mr. WM. McLAMAR to Miss
KATE BARR, both of Hollidaysburg.

On Sunday, the 6th inst., by J. M. Cherry, Esq., Mr. HENRY MILLER to Miss
RIGA BENDER, both of Altoona.

On the 7th inst., by Rev. A. H. Taylor, Mr. JOHN R. McFARLANE, to Miss
VIRGINIA M. FLUKE, both of Hollidaysburg.

In Muscatine City, on Thursday, March 3d, by the Rev. P. C. Hetzler, Mr.
SAMUEL T. ORR, formerly of Hollidaysburg, Pa., to Miss KATE A. J. MACHLAN,
formerly of York, Pa.

On the 14 inst., by Daniel Shock, Esq., Mr. ADAM LINGENFELTER to Miss
