I am on my 3rd day of Zoloft, and I do feel better. I shouldn't have stopped
the Zoloft all at once. I didn't know that.
Carol, a member from AZ. wrote with the best fund-raising idea. Her society
does this. I would do this and tell me if you think this would be a good
fundraiser.
We pick a cemetery, and select 6 or 7 prominent citizens that have been
buried there. We enlist volunteers from the society to play those people, and learn
the history of what they did and where they lived, etc., and they dress in
period costumes. The society charges 11 and provide a box lunch, (sandwich,
chips, drink and cookie) and take small groups through the cemetery, stopping at
the grave of the prominent citizen, listen to their presentation, for 15
minutes, and continue to the next grave. Wouldn't that be fun and interesting?
I have decided to work this out, and present it to the board, I have chosen
Presbyterian Cem. in Hollidaysburg, and have to narrow down the choices of
people, there are so many prominent people buried there. I know it won't be a
problem getting volunteers to dress up and do the presentation. There are so many
diva's at the BCGS, they will be fighting to do this. I will lead a group.
I will have to get permission from the cemetery, but I don't think that would
be a problem. Isn't that a terrific idea?
