FYI fellow researchers;
In "Runaway Women elopements and other miscreant deeds" as advertised in the
Pa. Gazette 1728-1789, I found the following that may interest a few of you.

June 8, 1769; Hannah, the wife of John Barber, of Apoquinimy Hundred, in New
Castle County, hath sundry times left me her said husband, and threatens to
run me into debt.....27th Day of May 1769....John Barber.

February 4, 1752; Hannah, the wife of Ralph Walker, of Philadelphia, mariner,
hath run him considerably into debt, and otherwise misbehaved herself.....

November2, 1752; Whereas the subscriber herself published an advertisement,
in February last, forbidding all persons to credit his wife Jannah on his
account; this therefore serves to make the said advertisement void, and that
she may be trusted as formerly on my account. Job Walker

August 26, 1757; Hannah, the wife of Thomas Walker, of West Bradford, Chester
County.....

Hope this helps some of you. Kathy DiBlassio
