Subject: [PABUCKS-L] Funeral director

Hi,
I have a copy of a burial permit signed by a Charles H. Rhoades,
funeral director in Doylestown in 1910. Is anyone familiar with this
funeral director? The ggf is Daniel Saar, died 12/4/1910, in Doyletown.
I'm trying to find info about Daniel whose body was transported from

Doyletown to Philadelphia by Mr. Rhoades in December of 1910. Harrisburg

says no death certificate exists althought the burial permit indicates
that one was filed. The anatomical board of Phila where the body was
taken says that a death certificate must exist in order to get the
burial permit. The anatomical board says that bodies unclaimed 36 hours

after death were taken to the medical schools. Daniel does not appear in

the 1910 federal census anywhere in Pennsylvania or Bucks county. A
volunteer at the Buck's County Historical Society did not find anything.

The Orphan's Court in Buck's county has nothing either.
Any ideas of where I could look for more info on Daniel?
Thanks, Elsie
