Hi Nancy
Most Bucks county History books will mention the Kohl family.
There is a debate as to where they came from. If we are talking about the
same family, Michael Kohl is the Son of John George Kohl. The Kohl family
are among the first families (in the 1740's) mention in the Goshenhoppen
(Catholic) register and many of them are buried in the churchyard of St.
John The Baptist church in Ottsville, Pa. (Bucks county). I have a file
that someone sent me on this family if you think it is the same family you
are welcome to it. Also here is some inaccurate information about him on my
web site, this was in a family history book written by Andrew Arnold
Lambing, who was a great grandson of Michael Kohl (it is inaccurate in that
states he came from Berlin Prussia, he was born in Bucks county). Here is
the URL

The Kohl family is also mention in the Estate record of Nicholas Lambing,
(warning this next URL is a huge image file)

Please let me know if you want the file on the Kohl family?.

Regards.
