Surname: FLUCK, FLUKE, PFLUG
-------------------------
I was looking at the listings for the Tohickon Union Cemetery, in the Bucks
County Tombstone Inscripions, published by the Bucks County Genealogical
Society and something caught my eye that may be of interest to FLUCK/FLUKE
researchers.
In row A-15 of the old cemetery there is the grave of Fillip FLUCK (not
sure if there are any typos in this pub or if the tombstone reads this
way). The data in the pub states: 1780 - 55y 6m. This would equate to ca
1725, the year most researchers show for the birth of Philip FLUCK, son
of Johannes FLUCK. This grave is next to Friderich Kern. Frederick Kern
was the father of Anna Barbara Kern, wife of Philip FLUCK.
Everything seems to make sense. Now for the odd one.
In the next row, A-16, there is yet another Philip FLUCK. The listing reads
FLUCK, Phipip (again, maybe a typo in the book). Further, it states: died
15 Feb 1790, 71y 1m 6d. That would make this Philip FLUCK born approx.
January 9, 1719. Buried next to this Philip is FLUCK, J., 1775.
Naturally,
Who is this Philip FLUCK?
Is the person next to him Johannes?
Was this a brother of Johannes?
Is the listing for the Phoenix showing this Philip vice the son of Johannes?
If the Phoenix list is showing Philip, son of Johannes, why isn't his name
next to his father instead of lower on the list?
