Richard R. Paxson, P.O. Lahaska, was born in Solebury township, in 1828.
He was the son of Thomas and Hannah (Canby) Paxson, natives of Bucks
County. and of English descent. The great-grandfather, Thomas was
married in 1732. He settled in Solebury township. The grandfather,
Benjamin. The latter had 6 children, three mentioned; Deborah, Elias E.,
and Richard R. The father died in 1843.

Richard H., married in 1851 to Eleanor, d/o Thomas and Mary Ely. They
had 8 children, 5 mentioned, Thomas E., Harriet F., Anna L., Oliver H.,
and R. Randolph.
