I figured i'd repost this note for those that have just joined the list. I'm
also sending it to the Somerset list since many of these researchers are doing
both county's. The information in this note is very important for those
dealing with Cambria County Library. If you send in money with old prices
they'll send your check back. Jerry Varner

As of April 1,1998 Cambria County Library has increased its research fees. The
reference department can provide photcopies of obituary and marriage notices
from the Johnstown (PA) Tribune and its successor, the Johnstown Tribune-
Democrat. No other local papers are available for research.

Index years for death notices
1853 - 1940
1977 - 1996
Index years for marriage notices
1853 - 1940
1984 - 1997

For the years not indexed you will need exact date!
Additional years will be indexed later. Keep in mind that your money will not
be refunded in the chance that they dont find it.

The following fees apply for each name requested:
Photocopy from a year covered by index ......... $5.00
Photocopy from a year not covered by index ...... $8.00
There will be know other fees charged . Include a check made out to Cambria
County Library.
