I found my husbands g-grandfather, James SHOMO on Bedford Street in the 4th
ward of Johnstown on the 1880 census. Under occupation it says "Works in R
Mill". I see one man that "works in Steel Works", another "works in Wire
Works" but the majority of the men on this page "work in R Mill". I feel
really ignorant, but what is the "R Mill"? This native California girl
doesn't have a clue <G>.
