R Mill is short for the rail mill, This refers to the huge mill along the
Conemaugh river. The mill was owned by Bethlehem Steel and it provided much
of the steel rails used by the railroads. I think it closed about 20 years
ago or so and is now being refurbiched for a National Historical Site.
