Following is the obit of Rebecca Garman, wife of Peter Stiffler. They had been hard to find in the census index (must have always had their name mangled).

Cherrytree Octogenarian Who Came Here to Remain for Winter Passes Away

FUNERAL AT CHERRYTREE

Mrs. Peter J Stiffler, of Cherrytree, who arrived here about two months
and a half ago in compnay with her husband, intending to remain for the
winter with their two daughters, died at the Silas Wissinger home on
First street, Conemaugh, at an early hour this morning, aged 86 years.
She became ill a week ago with pneumonia, which caused her death. The
body will be taken to Cherrytree tomorrow morning for burial.

The deceased was born near the town of Barnesboro in 1826, and was
married to Peter J. Stiffler about 63 years ago. Her maiden name was
Rebecca Garman. Mr. Stiffler, who is 85 years old, survives his wife,
with seven children, several sisters, 11 grandchildren, and a
great-grandson, the latter being Domer Thiele, son of Mr. and Mrs
Richard Thiele, of this city. The surviving children are Mrs Amanda
Knoll, Mrs. Shaffer Byers, Mrs. John Byers, and Milton Stiffler, of
Cherrytree; Mrs. Domer, wife of the Rev. J. W. Domer, of Windber, and
Mrs. Silas Wissinger, and Mrs. Richard N. Horner, both of Conemaugh Mrs.
Stiffler was a member of the Church of God.
