Hello Kathy,
I hope you don't mind if I e-mail you about Johnstown. I would like to
know about the library and the research capabilities. Have you used the
library for local genealogy research? Are their local resources good? My
husband grew up in Johnstown and altho' we now live in Florida, I have been
researching his families of Irvin, Garlock /Garlitz, Saly etc.
We will be in Johnstown, staying at the Holiday Inn downtown, for a class
reunion in June. Naturally I want to take advantage of the time without
wasting it. I am trying to organize [lol] my material and thoughts. Of
course I have the usual brick walls - think Great Wall of China.
Should I spend time in the library or do on site research such as
cemeterys, churchs and so forth? So if you don't mind, I would appreciate any
suggestions.
Always searching,
Faye
