Hi - I believe we've compared notes on this family before, but you appear
to have more clues.
Here's a quick review of the Helsel/Heltzel family in this area.
1. Tobias 1765-1852 came first from York Co, to Bedford Twp, Bedford Co, in
time for the 1790 census, before 1800, moved to land on Paint Creek, in
Conemaugh (later Richland, then Adams) Twp, Cambria Co. After 1816, lived on
present site of Sidman, Adams Twp, Cambria Co
2. his brother, John T. Heltzel 1760-1845, got a land patent in Bedford Twp,
Bedford Co, in 1793, and lived near Dunning's Creek (Cessna area), until his
death.
3. another brother, Henry, 1762-1817, lived in Greenfield Twp, now Blair Co,
from about 1800 until his death.
4. a probable cousin, Peter (and my likely ancestor), got a land patent the
same day as John T., and in 1807 had land surveyed in Greenfield Twp, now
Blair Co, but probably left the area for parts yet unknown.

I don't know where Sculton is, but I'd be interested in the names and dates
of these Heltzel & Feathers. I'm hoping I can identify them, and then see if
there might be a connection to Eve.
