I need some information about St. Joseph's parish. In January of 1988, I
wrote to St. Joseph's parish and the acting historian at that time, Rita
Mayercsik, sent me some information taken from their parish records. These
early records do not appear to be in the Ledoux books, so I am wondering
what other Catholic churches in the early 1850's would have records of
birth, deaths and marriages. I am particularly looking for marriage records
prior to 1850 of John Sarlouis and Theresa Bregal, and a marriage record of
Peter Emge and MarieAnne Sarlouis.
Any help or additional places to look would be greatly appreciated.
