To all you Gallitzin researchers:
Ebay recently had an auction for a REALLY detailed panoramic style "map" of
Gallitzin from 1901--The auction is now over, but I'm pretty sure that you
could get additional copies from the seller (he was printing them out from a
scan in 3 different sizes) I bought the middle size, (which is a medium
poster size) and am very pleased with the amount of detail. Different
buildings are drawn and labeled (churches, schools, hotels, houses, etc.)
Anyway, if you had anyone from Gallitzin at the turn of the century, this
would be a great thing for you to own. I recently found a 90+ year old
"cousin" (2nd cousin once removed according to my software!) who lived in
Gallitzin in the early 1900s, and I bought an extra one for her--can't wait
to give it to her. Using the map, I can now see all the places that she has
been describing to me through her letters.

Don McConnell at his place which was always referred to as the OHara farm.

remember the old house there. He built the current house on the same
foundation. Somewhere I have 2 or 3 bricks from the original. My dad,
