Elaine,

You can go to the PACAMBRIA site through rootsweb. At the site , choose
maps, The USGS map of Cambria Co. is a "clickable map". Click on Johnstown.
Scroll around until you find Mineral Point in East Taylor Township. My 1890
Atlas has a school house, depot for the PA RR, Chair Factory Planing and
Sawmill, store, stable, and some houses there.
Thanks to Ed McClelland for the map.

Hi, Has anyone ever heard of Mineral Point near Johnstown. What kind of
place is it? Just got information that a family member named Robert
Bartlebaugh lived there at one time. This person was given our family
Bartlebaugh history they say and takes us back to the 1700 and Holland. Now
Robert is long gone being born in 1910 or about. Just starting my search
for this Robert and the family history he was given which no one else has
that is researching our name. Though I have been asking now for 50 years
or more, never give up--that info is just around the corner.
Greetings from the Netherlands,
Elaine Bartlebaugh-Schenk
