Moses DAVIS was the son of David DAVIS and Eleanor ROWLAND. She was the
daughter of Ellis ROWLAND and wife Catherine, last name unknown.
Moses DAVIS married Jemima/Jane/Jenny REESE, daughter of Enoch REESE and
Eliza ROWLAND, who was the daughter of Griffith ROWLAND and Jane JONES.
It's pretty certain that Ellis and Griffith ROWLAND were brothers.
Therefore, Moses and his wife were second cousins.
Jemima may have been a nickname for Jane. She was shown in the 1850 census
as Jemima, and in the 1860 census as Jemima J. An article about her nephew
Lowrey Alvin REESE in "Old and New Westmoreland", vol 5, by Boucher, says
Jane, daughter of Enoch and Elizabeth Rowland REESE, married Moses DAVIS.
