Listers,
I am about to the end of my rope on these names - especially Binlein!
Has anyone ever known anyone with these names;
Binlein
Feld
Loeffler
Carney
I believe all these names were in Pittsburgh (South Side) by the 1890's but
it could have been earlier. I have info that says my great-grandmother
Binlein was born in Nicktown, PA. I believe the rest were born in
Pittsburgh. All four of these families were Catholic. I've written to the
Diocese but with such sketchy info as I have, they couldn't find anything.
Here is a little more info, maybe this will ring a bell
Philip Feld(1874-1937) married Philomena (Minnie) Binlein(1882-1956)
probably in or about 1900 probably in Pittsburgh. I understand Philip may
have been a glassblower, Minnie was seamstress and possibly also hung
wallpaper. Both are buried in St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery in Pittsburgh
Joseph Loeffler(1877-1957) married Mary Carney(1873-1937) probably in or
about 1900 probably in Pittsburgh. Joseph was a police officer probably for
the city of Pittsburgh but possibly for Mt. Oliver - where they lived. Both
are buried in Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Pittsburgh

I'm hoping someone can give me the hope that you may have heard of these
names, even if you're not related. I greatly appreciate any help, advice or
hope you can offer!

Mary
