Sharon,

In Kentucky 4th graders are sent to Conservation Camp for a week every
summer. Every child looks forward to this. They get a gun safety course and
practical hands on experience. This effort provides a good awareness of guns
that lasts the rest of their life. I do not know if other states have this
same kind of program.
