Elizabeth B. Rager

ELIZABETH B. RAGER, 92 Seward, died Sunday, Aug. 16, 1992 at Solich's Personal Care Home, Seward.

The daughter of Elmer Elliot and Catherine V. Cook Rager, she was born Sept. 10, 1899, in Seward.

Mrs. Rager was a member of the Seward United Methodist Church, and a graduate of Rowe Business College, Johnstown.

Prior to her retirement, she had been employed as a clerk for the former Pennsylvania Railroad for 43 years.

Surviving are her twin sister, Esther Stone, Burlington, N.J.; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews.

She was preceded in death by brothers Charles and Edgar; sisters Jessie Hencel, Annie Wagner and Margaret Kelly.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today in the Kenneth A. Stuart Funeral Home, New Florence, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday with the Rev. David B. Bowman officiating. Interment will follow in Lloyd Cemetery, Ebensburg.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Seward United Methodist Church.

Kathleen Rager

MRS. KATHLEEN RAGER, 72, of Washington, D.C., formerly of Armagh, died Monday, May .23, 1977 in Morgan Manor Convalescent Home, Morgantown, W.Va.

A daughter of Frank and Lottie Bolar Kern, she was born Oct. 13, 1904 in Indiana County.

Mrs. Rager was a resident of Washington, D.C. for 40 years and was a member of the United Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are several cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James R. Rager, her parents, two foster brothers, Theodore "Ted" and Telford Hogan.

Friends will be received after p.m. Wednesday in the Gray Funeral Home, Seward, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday with the Rev. William Jacobs officiating. Interment will be in Armagh Cemetery.

Lucy Reager

Mrs. Lucy Reager, aged 82 years, died in the home of her daughter, Mrs. W. F. Mabon, Blairsville, on Thursday, after an illness of several weeks. Funeral services Were conducted on, Sunday afternoon by her pastor, the Rev. Mr. Lloyd and interment made, in Blairsville, Cemetery. She leaves these children. R. M. Purdy of Waitsburg, Wash.; Samuel S. Reager of Dayton, 0.; John P. Reager of Perth Amboy, N. J.; Mrs. Charles Jellison of Indiana; Mrs. Frank Innis of Fort Wayne Ind., and Mrs. W. F. Mabon of Blairsville.

RAGER

Madeline L. Rager, 76, of 313 E. Second Ave., Derry: died Sunday Sept. 7, 1986 at Latrobe Area Hospital.

Mrs. Rager was born Sept. 14, 1909, daughter of the late Peter and Theresa Ponsetto Levrio. She was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Derry.

Survivors include two children, Walter W., Derry RD 1 and Mrs. James (Patricia) Fog, Cockeysville, Md.; five brothers and sisters, John, James and Theresa M., all of New Derry, and Edward and Mrs. Dominick (Lenora) Garella, both of Seger.

She was preceded in death by her husband Walter H. in 1979.

Arrangement were in charge of Quinlisk Funeral Home, Derry.

Norman Rager

NORMAN RAGER JR., 22, Vintondale RD 1, died Thursday, April 8, 1993, at Conemaugh Hospital, Johnstown, as a result of injuries suffered in a pedestrian-automobile accident in Gas Center.

The son of Norman and Bonnie L. Boring Rager Sr., he was born Oct. 9, 1970, in Prince George County, Md.

Mr. Rager was involved in carpentry and mechanics, and was employed by Classic Builders and Remodelers, Johnstown.

Surviving are his father, Vintondale RD 1; three sisters and one brother: Mrs. Mark (Tina) Gunter, Bolivar; Laura Jean Rager, Altoona; Mrs. Ronald (Karen A.) Clark, Seward; and Thomas J., at home; his paternal grandparents, Roy C. Rager Sr., Vintondale RD 1, and Marcella Rose Rager, Laurel Crest Manor; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother on Aug. 8, 1991, and maternal grandparents, Wilbert Boring and Margaret Boring-DeWeese.

Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m. Sunday and from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday in the Kenneth A. Stuart Funeral Home, New Florence, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Norris Mason officiating. Interment will follow in Bethel Cemetery.

Paul T. Rager

Funeral services will be held in Rossiter Monday afternoon for Paul T. Rager, 65, a retired coal miner, who died yesterday in the Adrian Hospital here.

Mr. Rager was born June 8, 1902, in Indiana County, a son of H.B. and Serena Fetterman Rager, and was married to Arveda Bair. He was a member of the Anita Church of the Nazarene.

Surviving are his wife and six daughters and three sons, Mrs. Anderson Sones, of Rossiter; Chester, of Clymer, N.Y.; Mrs. Calvin Dutton, of N. Tonawanda N.Y.; Laird and Charles, of Akron, O.; Mrs. Gharles Griffiith, Mrs. Clark Jones and Mrs. Donaold Haney, of Mahaffey, and Mrs. Donald Kromer, of Punxsutawney. He leaves also two step sons, William and Charles Bair, of Rossiter; 21 grandchildren, seven great-children, four step grandchildren, a brother, James Rager, of Rossiter, and two sisters, Mrs. Paul Ferrier, of Cochranton, and Mrs. Clifford Limrick, of Rossiter R.D. 1.

Friends will be received in the family resident in Rossiter after 7 o'clock tonight and until time for services Monday at 4 p.m. The Rev. Francis Russell will officiate and interment will be in the Dever Cemetery, near Rossiter.

RAGER

William Earl Rager, 73, of Grapeville, Hempfield Township, died Friday, May 30, 1986 at Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg.

Mr. Rager was born Jan. 10, 1913 in Blairsville, son of the late Owen and Isabelle Leary Rager. He was a retired security guard at Elliott Co., Jeannette, and a member of the Salem and Franklin Beagle clubs.

Survivors include his wife Mary Guy Rager; two sons, William Jr., Greensburg and Larry Owen, Level Green; two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Donna Lee) Miller, Ligonier and Mrs. Donald (Gail) Hall, Manor;

Also surviving are his stepson Kenneth Guy, California; four stepdaughters, Mrs. Sonny (Joanne) Kunkle, Greensburg and Mrs. John (Dolores) Williams, Mrs. Bruno (Lois) Frendy and Mrs. Nicholas (Gloria) Pecoraro, all of Jeannette;

Also surviving are nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; 15 step-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Also surviving are a brother and four sisters, Wayne, Edna Kelly, Mrs. Kenneth (Lydia) Rhoades and Betty Jane Forsha, all of Blairsville, and Mrs. Louis (Nellie) Granda, Jeannette.

He was preceded in death by his first wife Virginia Biggs Rager; his stepson Donald Long; four brothers, James, Paul, Charles and Robert.

Services were held Monday in Jeannette, Rev. Douglas Albert officiating. Interment followed in Blairsville Cemetery.
