Patton News

We are sorry to record the death of one of our leading business Mena and
good citizens, George C. Yeager, who died Monday at 4 o'clock p.m., after
undergoing an operation for appendicitis. The death of Mr. Yeager was a
great
surprise, as but few knew of his illness, he having been attending to
business
until the later part of last week The deceased was born in Elder township,
February 24, 1863, and had been a citizen of Patton for many years. he was
a
member of the firm of Young & Yeager, who conducted a meat market at the
corner
of Magee and Fifth Avenues. He was highly esteemed by all who knew him, and
deep regret is felt at his death. The funeral, which was largely attended,
took
place Thursday morning from St. Benedict Catholic Church, Carrolltown.
Surviving the deceased are his wife and four children.

Now, this is definitely the George Yeager who married:
(1) Theresa Nagle, dau of John and Regina/Rachael Hahn Nagle; and
(2) Annie White, at the time of the marriage a school teacher in Hastings.
He married her in either 1893 or 1894.

This is not the George Yeager who married Elizabeth Haas, who was later
living in Punxsutawney.

Can anyone give me the correct parents for each George Yeager, and the
names of the children of the George in this obit?
