Hi, I remember Dr. Martin, and yes, he did always seem gruff. He delivered
my youngest sister, gave me and my fiance (later husband) our physical for
marriage in the elevator ! Several years later he delivered my second
child, natural birth. Our whole family was "doctored" by Dr. Martin;
tonsilectomies, childbirth, dad's broken leg, mom's arthritis, probably
countless other instances that I am not aware of. He made house calls,
which is a rareity now. Mom sent me the article when he died. I went to
school with his children, but did not know them personally.
