North Cambria News, Hastings, Pa. Friday September 28, 1906

A. J. [Albert] Feighner has been appointed carrier for R.F.D. No 1 out of Carrolltown. There are now 19 operating in Cambria County.

Note: He rode in a horse and buggy to deliver the mail. RFD means Rural Free Delivery. He later lived in and delivered mail for Spangler. He was married to Mary Frances Campbell.

Frank Figner [Feighner] has been selected for Jury Duty. He is a laborer from Spangler.

Note: Frank was a mechanic at the #9 Mine in Spangler. He was killed by a runaway mine car later. He was married to Agnes Reffner.
