I was checking the census in the Cambria City neighborhood of Johnstown,
which was in easy walking distance of the mills and was crowded with Europen
immigrants in 1910, when the population of Johnstown peaked at 67,000.

In several houses the enumerator wrote that there were a certain number of
Hungarians who refused to be interviewed, would not give their names and
ages to a man from the government!
