STRITTMATTER - Regina M.
STRITTMATTER - Regina M., 85, Ebensburg, formerly of Patton, died Aug. 17, 2007, at Laurel Crest Rehabilitation -- Special Care Center. Born Nov. 10, 1921, in Patton, a daughter of Amandus and Mamie (Dunegan) Karlheim. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Bernard Strittmatter; granddaughter, Cheryl Strittmatter; and brothers, William and Ralph Karlheim. Survived by children, Barbara Strittmatter, Erie; Dennis (Tricia) Strittmatter, Bowie, Md.; Marie (Dennis) Lavallee, Wildwood, Mo.; Marian (Phil) Perucci, Brookville, Md.; and Eleanor Males, Silver Spring, Md.; 13 grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Marguerite Kuntzman, Ebensburg; Bertha Karlheim, Cresson; Leona Karlheim, Leo and James (Mary) Karlheim, all of Patton. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. A member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church (formerly St. Mary's), where she served as president of the Altar Rosary Society for several years and had a "great" devotion for decorating the "altar" at Christmas and Ea!
ster. She enjoyed gardening and raising African violets. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Stevens Funeral Homes Inc., 1004 N. Fifth Ave., Patton, where a vigil for the deceased will be held. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Patton, Benedictine Fathers.
