HERMAN SHORT, 66, died at 7 o'clock Saturday evening at the home of his
sister, Mrs. William Clinemyer, North Street, Lilly, following an extended
illness of heart trouble. He was born April 2, 1876, in Lilly, a son of
John and Mary (Murphy) Short. Surviving are the following brothers and
sisters: Blair and Elmer, both of Lilly; Emmet, Gallitzin; Mrs. Laura Burke
Mrs. William Clinemyer [Nettie], and Miss Sylvia Short, all of Lilly; and
Mrs. Harry Powers [Blanche] of Portage. His wife, Sarah (McLain) Short,
died a number of years ago. Funeral arrangements in charge of Mortician A.
F. Tickerhoof are incomplete.
Herman Short. Funeral services for Herman Short, 66, who died Saturday
evening at the home of his sister, Mrs. William Clinemyer of North Street,
Lilly, will be conducted at 9 o'clock this morning at St. Rothus' [?]
Catholic Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Funeral
arrangements are in charge of A. F. Tickerhoof. Mr. Short had been ill for
some time with a heart condition.
