This Kenneth Housler was an Uncle to my wife. And thanks for the pictures
of Garnie, they're great.

Kenneth Housler, 92, a resident of the Guy and Mary Felt Manor in Emporium,
PA, formerly of North Creek, Cameron
County, PA, died Thursday (Jan. 20, 2000) in Charles Cole Memorial
Hospital, Coudersport, PA. Born May 6, 1907, in
Emporium, he was a son of Ernest and Anna Berry Housler. On July 4, 1931,
in Jamestown, NY, he married the former Delilah
Sarah Smith, who died Aug. 26, 1991. A lifelong resident of Cameron County,
Mr. Housler had worked for the Pennsylvania
Department of Trandportation as a maintainer. He also worked for Emporium
Borough for more than 20 years. He was a forest
fire warden for 55 years. Surviving are two daughters, Jenny Connelly and
Audrey Bailey, both of Emporium; a son, John E.
Housler of Emporium; 10 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; nine
great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and
nephews. Besides his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two
brothers, Merlin Housler and Merton Housler.
Funeral and committal services were held Saturday (Jan.22) at the Edward M.
Barnett Funeral Home, Emporium, where the
Rev. M. H. Vincent of Shinglehouse, PA, officiated. Burial was in Rich
Valley Cemetery, Cameron County, PA. Memorials
may be made to the Rich Valley Cemetery Association.
