A few days ago there were remarks/questions about Clear Creek, Rich Valley,
and mention of the old Sweezy School. From my recollections, it was an
elementary school that was located just after you turned off the main road to
Smethport onto the Rich Valley Road. When we first moved to Rich Valley, as a
very young girl, I remember seeing children playing there during recesses,
but by the time I was old enough for school, they were bussing the children
into Emporium .  The school had closed and was purchased by the Kleese family
who turned it into their home. Bill Kleese was a classmate, and in later
years I recall attending a party there at his home.
