The Britton's had a dairy farm up behind the Homestead Hotel in Plank Road
Hollow. It was on a dirt road that is cuts up on the side of the mountain
and is still there. Actually, the road is almost directly across from the
old Plank Road school. My Grandfather also had a farm there and the land is
still owned by my aunt. I have been looking for a dairy bottle with my
family name on it, which would be Oswald's dairy. I have only seen one of
these and it was destroyed a few years ago when my sister lost her home to a
fire.
The Britton farm may well still be there, as also some of the family. I
can find out if anyone is interested.
