Hi Folks,

After almost a year and a half absence, I am back and will be updating the
site. My absence was mainly do to an insane job which I have left. For the
near future I will have some time on my hands to get the site caught up with
all of the information I have to post. I apologize for the absence and hope
to make it up to you with the information I will be posting in the days to
come.

Mary Ellen Smith, the angel in our midst who has provided this site with
some serious data, has transcribed much of the 1900 Census and I have
provided links to it.

I purchased a neat program that types what you say....it is awesome to watch
it work. With it I have begun posting the Beers History of the Counties of
McKean, Elk, Cameron, and Potter. Chapter One and the Biographical Sketches
are now posted....others will follow. Click on "History" on the site. While
the book is reputed to have some errors in it...it is great reading for the
most part.

I must have about 100 more photos to put online and am working out a way
that will be easier to view them. All of the photos on the Zing sites got
transferred to a site that will not work for us. I will be figuring out how
to get them where they will be accessible.

RootsWeb, in my opinion, has ruined the Query Section, but we still have a
link to it. Where once we were getting dozens of Queries a month there is
now only a trickle. I see that GenForum is no better, but I will post a
link to it also. If you know of other Query sites please let me know.

We have dozens of new people on this email list. If you are researching your
genealogy it would be in your best interest to let everyone know who you are
researching. We have some great researchers on this list who probably have
access to information you are looking for, but they can't help if they don't
know who you are looking for!

I am looking for some new ideas for the site...if you have something you
would like to see let me know. Also if you find any broken links, PLEASE
let me know....I removed a few tonight.

The search engine has been fixed.

Looking forward to working with you folks again!
