RIDGWAY, PA - Mrs. Harry B. Park, of 9 Penn Avenue, died at her
residence
suddenly on Tuesday, December 18, 1973. She was born August 25, 1899, in Mt.
Jewett, PA, the daughter of Charles and Christine Nelson Fosberg. she was a
member of the First Evangelical Luther Church. She is survived by three
sons,
Ray, James, and Robert of Emporium. Nine grandchildren also survive. Her
husband preceded her in death in August 1, 1966). She was the last of a
family of
nine. Funeral services for Helen Julia Park were held at the Lehman-Hammond
Funeral Home, Ridgway, PA, on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Sigmond
S. Decker of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church officiating. Interment
followed
in Newton Cemetery, Emporium, PA. James H. Park, 58, of Prospect Park,
Emporium, PA, died Thursday (Sept. 5, 1985) in the Robert Packer Hospital,
Sayer, PA, following a brief illness. Born March 6, 1927, in Ridgway, PA, he
was
a son of Harry and Helen Fosberg Park. On July 10, 1954, in Sterling Run,
PA,
he married the former Bibiana Summerson, who survives. A veteran of the
Navy,
Mr. Park was employed as a lineman for West Penn Power Co. for more than 30
years. He was a member of the Emporium Loyal Order of Moose and the West
Penn Veterans Association. Surviving beside his widow are a daughter, Rachel
Park of West Palm Beach, FL; two sons, Steven Park and Edward Park, both of
West Palm Beach; a granddaughter; and two brothers, Ray Park and Robert
Park, both of Emporium. Friends may call at the Edward M. Barnett Funeral
Home, Emporium, today from 7 to 9 p.m and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9
p.m.,
where funeral services will be held Monday (Sept. 9, 1985) at 11 a.m. The
Rev.
Dean Hughes, pastor of the First United Methodist Church, of Emporium, will
officiate. Burial will be in Newton Cemetery, Emporium, PA. Memorials may be
made to the local chapter of the American Cancer Society, or the Cameron
County Ambulance Association.
